Roots of Passion

From the local Farmers’ Market, these carrots were grown at Intervale Farm in Westhampton. The interplay, the playfulness and the sensuous forms inspired this scan. Carrots grow straightest when there are no stones in the soil to impede the journey of their roots. If the plants are not thinned out in the row, there's no telling what might happen underground.
