Modern NestA Baltimore (northern) oriole's nest, constructed with strips from a plastic tarp. When i'm out in nature, I commonly see nests that have some plastic incorporated into them. To me, it speaks to fewer farms (less horse hair, wool to use), the adaptability of nature's creatures and the ubuiquity of plastic litter in our environment. Also in this composition are dried umbrella magnolia leaves and beauty berries.
